1983

Started by the late E. E. “Pete” Raughley and his wife Caroline, Saginaw had its start as a humble two-bedroom farm house on just under 3 acres of land in 1983. Pete’s dream was to start a company that focused on family, hard work, and customer service. Besides his work at Saginaw Pipe, Pete always found time for civic organizations, serving for many years on the boards of Shelby County Sheriff’s Boys and Girls Ranch, the Shelby County Medical Center, the Lion’s Club, and the Shelby County Industrial Development Board.
